Login

On your first visit to the site, you will be presented with the login/signup screen.

When your instance is first created, an account is created for you with the email you chose. You can get the password for this account by going to your Elestio dashboard and clicking on the "Show Password" button.

Create New Organization

Organization is a group or entity that manages multiple projects. It provides a way to organize and manage error tracking and monitoring for multiple software development projects within a single entity. Organizations allow for better collaboration, access control, and centralized management of projects, teams, and members. Organizations in GlitchTip have their own set of permissions and settings, and they can be used to collaborate on projects, control access to repositories, and manage team members. You can create new organization by clicking on the "New Organization" button.

Creating New Project

A project in GlitchTip is a specific software development project that you are working on. It is a container that holds all the relevant information, settings, and resources related to your project's error tracking and monitoring. When you create a new project in GlitchTip, you are essentially setting up a dedicated space to track and manage errors and exceptions that occur in your application. You can create new project by clicking on the "New Project" button.

Issues

Issues are the problems or bugs that are reported and tracked within a specific software development project. These issues can include errors, exceptions, or any other unexpected behavior that occurs in the application. GlitchTip provides a dedicated screen to view and manage these repository issues, allowing developers to track, prioritize, and resolve them efficiently. You can create new issues by clicking on the "New Issue" button.

Auth Tokens

Auth token is a unique identifier that is used to authenticate and authorize access to the GlitchTip API. It acts as a secure key that allows users or applications to interact with GlitchTip programmatically. The auth token is generated and provided to users when they log in or create an account in GlitchTip. It is important to keep the auth token confidential and not share it with unauthorized individuals, as it grants access to sensitive information and actions within GlitchTip. You can create access tokens by clicking on the "Create New Token" button.

Teams

Team is a group of individuals who collaborate on a software development project. Teams allow for better organization, access control, and centralized management of project members. They provide a way to assign specific roles and permissions to team members. Teams in GlitchTip can be created and managed to control access to repositories, track and manage issues, and monitor project progress. You can create teams by clicking on the "Create Team" button.

Creating Uptime Monitor

The uptime monitor in GlitchTip is a feature that allows you to monitor the availability and performance of your website or application. It periodically sends requests to your website and checks if it is up and running. If any downtime or performance issues are detected, GlitchTip will notify you so that you can take appropriate action. This helps you ensure that your website or application is always accessible to your users and helps you identify and resolve any issues that may impact its availability. You can create new monitors by clicking on the "Create Monitor" button.

Organization Members

Members are individuals who are part of a software development project or organization. They collaborate on the project, contribute to its development, and have specific roles and permissions assigned to them. Members can include developers, testers, project managers, and other team members involved in the software development process. They can access and contribute to the project's error tracking, monitoring, and issue management. You can add new members by clicking on the "Invite Member" button.

TOTP Authentication

TOTP authentication stands for Time-Based One-Time Password authentication. It is a form of two-factor authentication (2FA) used in GlitchTip to provide an additional layer of security for user accounts. By enabling TOTP authentication in GlitchTip, users can protect their accounts from unauthorized access, even if their passwords are compromised. It adds an extra level of security by requiring a time-based code that only the user has access to. You can enable TOTP authentication by clicking on the "Get Started" button.
